Those were Baders words on the 2nd life article.

But today, on the app at least I can see 6+ "articles" showing from today, 2 Pokemon Go (FFS) articles (rehashed - but labeled as today).

This info could easily be updated here in the forums.

Click bait is not what the majority visiting the site want to see. Yes I could ignore the threads but they clog up my timeline.

It used to be a great tech site, and in parts it is, with great gadget reviews (Alex/Andrew) and deeper insight into the Android and Google ecosystem (The legend that is Jerry). But now the majority of articles are, adverts for getting tech from Amazon on discount (assume revenue attained via adverts), Fu***ng Pokemon, a million guides on how to do neat tricks on one device (when they actually apply to several), 5 articles about the same device on launch day talking about specs and price (which could be done in one).

The sites going down the crapper.

It needs fixing or a lot of long term readers/podcast listeners (me for 4+ years) will be sadly looking elsewhere.

Rant over.

I came to the forums after reading the 'Best Cases for Nexus 6P' which is painfully, obviously, a native ad. So bad.

The sites going down the crapper.

I don't think it's a problem exclusive to this site. I can't think of any Android-specific site that's doing anything different or better. Could be that Android itself or smartphone tech as a whole has hit a wall. Even Google seems to have its head firmly in place where the sun never shines. I'd like to say that it's the calm before the storm, but I really think that 2016 is gonna go down as the year that killed my interest in flagship phones, if not in smartphones period.

Nothing really game changing bright now and when OEMs try to break the mold, they're ridiculed by the elitist type where it's Nexus or "stock Android" or "vanilla Android" over everything.

(Or specs specs specs)

I think quelquel is on the right track. We've plateaued. For the crowd that visits sites like this one, midrange can be the daily driver.
