Question about an app

Hey all I am new to Android and really looking forward to it. I am using appbrian to prepare for Friday when I get my Evo. My question is though there is suppose to be an app that lets you slide your along the keypad to type out words. Can an exprienced user help me out and let me know what this app is if it actually exist? Thanks

Most people are probably using Swype but that's in a closed beta. You could probably find the apk using google though. I believe there's a similar app called SlideIT but I've never used it.
