I'm still waiting for Android 5 for my Tab S 8.4, and figured that since you 10.5 guys already got to experience it, you'd be able to help me.
The thing I hate most about the 16GB Tab S is the lack of storage space, and the microSD card being almost totally useless. If I install a 2.5GB game and move it to SD card, 2.4GB remain on internal storage. For programs like ScummVM or AGS, the SD card is read only, so I again have to store games on internal memory. With the OS and bloatware already taking enough of it, I'm constantly pressed for space.
I've read that Lollipop relaxes some of the SD card access limitations. On the other hand, my experience with it on my old Nexus 7 is that apps take more space after the upgrade. The Nexus 7 doesn't have an SD card, so I can't check what happens with it. So perhaps someone who moved to Lollipop on a Tab S can tell me if it can make better use of the SD card.
If not, then I would likely postpone the upgrade as much as I can, because I've read of several games breaking down after the upgrade (and more games aren't compatible with the Tab S anyway, such as Broken Age and Grim Fandango). Most of what I do with the tablet is play games.
Thanks!
