Question about Cloud/Device Amazon Content

Under the tabs like Videos/Photos/Music etc is there anyway I can make the Kindle Fire list my own content on the device/cloud opposed to just "exclusive amazon music/video.

I would like to know without resorting to apps like Gallery or some media player app. I want to know mainly if its possible via the Cloud/Device column to list my own content.

ex. I have mp4s i imported from PC but they dont show up on device unless I bought/obtained it from amazon.

I see the music I brought over, on the device side... but I used windows media player to "sync" it, not sure if that is why. It showed up as Kindle in windows media player as a sync-able device. It would not take any zune or other subscription content however.
