Question about fingerprint scanner.

I want to set up a fingerprint scan on my S7E (for better security), however I have a few questions:

1. How reliable is the fingerprint scanner? If the phone is stolen, will the person be able to unlock it somehow?
2. After I do software updates, I always factory reset my phone. If I do a factory reset on the S7E, will the fingerprint scan get deleted and will I have to set it up again?

A stranger can't unlock your phone unless they have your finger. If you reset your phone you do have to enter your prints again.

Your questions were answered above but I would like to add to it.
Set up multiple fingerprints, minimum of 1 finger from each hand.
Still set up a PIN that you wont forget. Please make sure you know your Google acct address and password in case you ever need to alternate reset the device. Without your Google info the phone is a brick then.
