Question about firmware update

I just got a new TB under warranty and it is running Android 2.2.1. When I go into the My Verizon Wireless App it tells me to go to perform a firmware upgrade, but when I check for new it says none are available. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.
 
Well, you don't have the most current version. There is an update avaible. You should be at 1.70.605.0. Keep checking for new software, hopefully it will let you download it at some point.
 
If you don't get it in a couple of days, call Verizon. Also check the HTC website......it might have the download for it there too.
 
Forgot to also mention, HTC is very good about taking phone calls and answering emails. Unlike the other guys LOL
 
Thanks for all the responses. I just left my phone for awhile and came back and it's downloading the firmware.
 
I can tell you it will not be found on HTC website and when you call them they will tell you flat out they cant send it to you. Either A.) youd have to wait til it might show up for you to download or B.) youll have to get the link from someone to download and install the RUU yourself. The reason I know all this is, when I purchased my wifes and my TB it had the beta software 1.16 on it and wouldnt update. I spoke with both VZW and HTC only to have to update it myself in the end. Hope this helps.
 
LOL guess for whatever reason I didnt see your last post. Disregard mine since you got the update.
