Question about flashing CM6 ROM on non-Sprint Hero

This is my first root/ROM flash, and I think I've got the procedure down as I've been reading up on it for awhile. Only one thing I'm not sure about that concerns me. I am on Ntelos, a regional carrier. Do I have to anything special to flash CM6 or after I flash it because I am on a regional carrier? I've seen different threads at XDA about rooting and flashing non-Sprint phones but those all dealt with 2.1 ROMs that seemed to be based off of the Sprint ROMs. CM6 sounds like it was built from the ground up, so it would seem to be generic to any Hero regardless of carrier. Any advice would be appreciated.

As ntelos uses a cdma network I don't think you would have any issues. Nandroid and give it a whirl!

LOL, I ended up just taking a chance and doing it a week ago. Works like a champ. I couple of minor issues, but those were resolved in quick order and I am enjoying Froyo!
