Good day, google just sent my N4 replacement device... It is now rooted and running stock 4.2.2... the 4.3 update advice came in this morning... I have some questions regarding this:

1) Is it safe to update it this way? If I do so, will it loose the root?
2) Yesterday I tried to install CM 10.2 on it, but it went to a bootloop, so I restored a backup made with CWM, now it is ok but... If I want to install CM 10.2, what should I do? Can I install CM 10.1 and then install CM 10.2 over it? or what should I do to install CM 10.2?

Let me know please :)
Thanks! :)

Good to hear you got your replacement device. Installing the ota will cause you to lose root and you would need to reroot. Odd that you had trouble flashing CM10.2. You should be able to bypass the ota by flashing that rom, but you would still need to flash the new bootloader and radio. Are you rooted with SuperSU or Superuser?

CM 10.2 is based on 4.3 which has a new bootloader & radio and that caused your bootloop. You need to update to 4.3 before flashing CM 10.2 or you can flash the new bootloader and radio then flash CM 10.2 / Gapps and be OK........... You can find the new bootloader and radio in a flash zip file over @ xda in the Nexus 4 forums.
Hope this helped
