I have a pixel 3 that I never used, it's open but I never got around to doing anything with it and at this point I think I just want to sell it. I am on a payment plan with Verizon, I never activated it. I want to sell the phone and pay it off, do I have to do anything first with this? I dont want to have issues with Verizon and I dont want the user I sell it to to have a problem either.

it's been awhile since I was on postpaid. But I suggest you activate the phone. Then change devices back to your current phone. This will deactivate the pixel 3 and you can then sell it. If it wasn't activated, I thinks its still tied to your account. So a buyer wouldn't be able to activate it.

I remember people claiming that its a "financed phone" and will show as such in a imei check. But I never had a problem deactivating a phone and selling it afterwards. Even ones that were bought under verizon financing. Money is money, Verizon doesn't care how one pays off the remaining balance on a phone.
