Question about stock gallery + saving various things

I've noticed if I save a video in my Gmail app, it doesn't appear in my gallery. In the app on the attachment itself, it says 'Saved' but it doesn't tell me the location so I don't know where to go to find it... I do use an SD card, but even then, I don't know where to look in their either.

I find myself having to take screenshots and CROPPING the pictures in order to keep them in a place where I'll know where they are for next time. Is there any way around this??
