I have a question about the charging dock:

Not sure if there is only one specific dock available so I posted the link above. Are you able to charge the spare battery and the battery that is in the phone at the same time? Or is the spare battery the only that can be charged at one time? And then the phone that is on the dock cannot be charged? So basicaly, just one battery charged at a time?

And if the phone is on the dock are you able to dim the screen?

Hi hkrn,

I just bought this dock a few weeks ago. The dock has a port for the phone and another for the spare battery. According to the instructions, the dock charges the phone first and then charges the spare battery. There's an indicator light on the front that turns green when the spare battery is charged. So while they don't charge at the same time, you don't have to switch the batteries out or anything.

If the phone is on the dock, there are two screen modes you can use. One is a daytime mode that's pretty bright, and the other is nighttime mode which is still kind of bright. I believe if you push the power button on the top of the phone (like you would if you want to make the screen turn off when not plugged in) it'll turn the screen off entirely. I'm not positive about that part though. I usually leave the screen on in nighttime mode.

Yes that is correct when the power button is pressed and the phone is on the dock the screen is turned off.

Okay thanks forthe answers.

Another question-Once the phone is fully charged and the dock starts charging the spare battery, does it also stop charging the phone? So then the is running on the battery which is attached to it? So when you take the phone off of the dock the battery may be almost dead? Or does it maintain the full charge until its taken off of the dock?

After switching to the Charge this spring I can tell you charging the phone on the dock with or without the spare battery I have never taken it off the dock with anything less than a 100% charge. I use the dock charger all the time. I tried the charger that came with the phone once just to make sure it worked.

Sometimes it seems to take a really long to charge both the phone and spare battery. I left the phone on the dock all night, with the spare battery in, and the charge indicator light was still red. I'm not sure if the spare battery was actually charged or not.. but the phone was. I left it on for a few more hours and it finally did turn green. Is the charge indicator light not a good indicator of whether both batateries are charged? I'm assuming since it was on the charger for soooo long (9 hours overnight) that both batteries were fully charged. I should have checked....

my indicator light isn't always correct. then i have both in its ok then if i remove phone sometimes the light goes out even when i know the spare battery is not fully charged. sometimes its green when i can clearly see the phone is charging on the battery indicator.
