Question about turning in my Note 2 on edge up

I have a Note 2 and am turing it in. I have a screen protector on it now, one of the zaggs, and want to make sure I don't get dinged for anything. Should I peel it off, or can I leave it cause I'm lazy?

I would leave it. They are most likely going to be more concerned with does it turn on, and does it connect to cell towers.
