Ummm noob question. for apps not set on auto update, how do u know if there are updates?
What about AV software for the phone? Never had to worry about that on the iPhone, is it a good idea to put it on the android device? If so what does everyone recommend?
There are lots of options really...that's both a blessing and a curse. You could spend hours trying out different music players, video players, etc...
Well, Google just rolled out Google Music Beta...that's a place to start. I'm partial to winamp just cause i'm old school and it can do wireless syncing. Doubletwist is supposed to be decent as well, but I haven't used it lately.
Don't forget, you can go to market.android.com on your computer and browse apps on the big screen, when you click download it will shoot it to your phone via the cloud without you having to touch your phone.
I use Lookout and happy with it. It also has features to find missing phone via GPS, to sound alarm to help find near you, etc. The free version is useful and the paid version has extra features. What about AV software for the phone?
