Question concerning OTAs

I bought the G1 this past Thursday. I was wondering how long it typically takes to receive a OTA after its been released? I'm not sure if I should wait a couple more days or try to manually install either 1.5 or 1.6 myself. If you can provide any kind of feedback, it would be much appreciated.

T-Mobile has been known to roll out updates very slowly... sometimes you get them quickly and other times... you must show some patients.
