Question for transitioning from locked ATT to unlocked device

I plan to use Smart Switch, but curious if I leave the SIM in my S24U while transferring data and then transfer the SIM to the S25U?

Or do I load the ATT SIM from the S24U into my unlocked S25U device and then do Smart Switch?

It doesn't matter either way

Move the SIM first to the S25 then use Smart Switch. This way if texts come in while Smart switch is moving data that text will for sure be on your S25.

I usually switch SIM after transfer process completes.

I am sure you know this, but back up your WhatsApp chat because if you don't, you won't be able to after you log into WhatsApp on your new phone with your sim. The old phone will be deactivated for WhatsApp and chats not backed up there will be poof!
