Since there isn't a dedicated gallery app only google photos, how does this phone handle pictures. For example, on kit Kat you had a galley app, once the picture was saved to Google photos I would delete the photos in my gallery because I already had them backed up to google +. This phone does not have a galley app.

My question is, are photos automatically saved to G+ or are they stored on the phone and visible via the google photos app? If so, how can I delete them without deleting them from G+?

Ah ha... I figured it out... There is a ways to see photos that are on your device. Sorry if this thread has already been posted before

Maybe you could share with the rest of us what you figured out. It may come in handy when more of us get the phone.

To see device photos, in Photos slide the menu out from the left side and scroll down until you see "on device".

For syncing, all the options can be set from Google+ or Google settings in the launcher...there are quite a few more places as well, I just can't remember all of them at the moment.

And yes Gallery is finally gone... I'm really sad to see it go because I personally like to keep things local to the device but oh well...😿
