I'm new to the Android system. I just came over from Blackberry. I've seen before how on the keyboard of other Android phones that you can run your finger across the letters to make words. Can that be done on the Bionic?

And once you get used to doing it that way it is great. I use swiftkey only because i cannot spell.... Lol

I saw a post like this a bit ago. I believe the answer is not without custom programming and even then i am not sure. It certainly not something easy

is there a way to make the vertical keyboard swype and the landscape keyboard multi-touch?

FYI, you don't have to "swype" on a swype keyboard. I alternate between swiping and pressing individual letters. That's the beauty of it.

yes but sometimes when i type i hit two letters consecutively one after another and swype reads it as me swyping across the keyboard and tries to find a word im making.

There are apps that will are you to set the landscape and portrate keyboards seperate but it requires root

Swiftkey blows everything out of the water.

Once you use it for a bit it will guess everything you want to type.
