Question on moving app to Internal storage and then back again.

I was curious why after moving my facebook app from ExtSDCard to Internal storage that the option to move it back again to the ExtSDCard was unavailable, and I think I know why, I'm not 100% sure if I am correct, so perhaps you could give me your thoughts.

I was on Gingerbread 2.3.6 previously and at that time I had already installed the Facebook app, and because the 2.3 Gingerbread app allows apps to be installed to the ExtSDCard Card and my now current OS JellyBean does not, I therefore found that when I tried to move the Facebook app from SD card back to Internal storage the option to do so was unavailable.

Would the above be the reason it can't go back to the External SDcard again because the OS had changed in between?
