Question on signal bars

If I have like two to three bars is it looking for a signal or does that not affect the battery life?

I'm pretty sure that the better service you have the less power the phone uses. Personally the only time I have a problem is when I have no service my battery will drain rapidly that's when I turn off my mobile data

Gotcha. At work I only get two to three bars on 3g and 4g.

bars indicate voice signal strength. 2-3 bars is ok voice signal, not great but not terrible.

Yeah. Not sure why it is so weak. I live like five minutes from work lol
