Question regarding 4G service on the TB.

Thinking of upgrading to an android phone. I hate to do this, however, there are too many pages (81) to weed through for a simple question.

Does tuning off 4G service improve the battery life on the TB?

Yes it does. Thunderbolt is a great device!

If you have the new OTA working without problems, then leaving the phone on 4G no longer presents significant battery life issues. Before the OTA, there was a meaningful difference in battery life between leaving it on 3G vs.4G.

If its just idling and working correctly, 4g doesnt really use that much power over 3g. Sometimes, though, 4g will get stuck with up arrow always lit, that will kill the battery very quickly. Not all tb have this issue though, i have had two with this problem.
