Question regarding S9 case protection

I have the Spigen Galaxy S9 Case as shown below, and I was just wondering how well does it actually protect the glass design on the back of the S9?

Asking this, because I had accidentally dropped my S9 just above my desk. It was not a huge impact at all. The drop was roughly about one feet (12 inches). Should I take off the case and check it or should it be fine? Is this type of case strong enough to protect the back glass design of the S9?

Another question, maybe a bit off topic, but is there a write up or a detailed video on how to take out this of case from the phone? Is there a technique for doing this? I tried doing so one time to clear off some dust, but I don't want to damage the power button which was in the way and the phone started powering off and on.

It will just serve as padding. A sufficiently hard fall can still break the phone. Think of it as wrapping a mirror in a blanket and then dropping it.
As for taking it off, just pull it off.

I've got 3 Spigen cases for mine and that's one of them. They all offer a small lip top and bottom to protect the screen for a fall and also for the corners. The tough armor offers the best protection and I use that when traveling.
