I'm a satisfied Sprint customer (rare I know) with a Galaxy S5 who is ready to upgrade to an S7. I know there isn't a ton of information out there yet, but one of the big drawbacks to the S5 is the lack of simultaneous use of voice and mobile data. Does anyone know if that is corrected on the S7? Thank you all in advance!

The Sprint S7 requires volte to use simultaneous voice and data. I don't believe that Sprint has done that yet.

Thank you! I kind of thought that was the case, but hadn't seen anything to prove it.

I'm in the same boat with you on this issue. Basically, happy with my service but need the simultaneous voice and data sometimes.

I'm another satisfied Sprint customer and thought it was going to be a huge problem switching from an S4 what had simultaneous voice and data to an S6 which didn't. But a year later only once could I actually have used the feature and now don't even think about it. To me having a good call quality, fast data and coverage everywhere I go along with unlimited everything for $60.00 a month far outweighs the ability to talk while using data.

None of Sprint' "Spark" compatible phones support voice+data. I wouldn't expect this one to, either. One of my complaints about Sprint. If I wasn't getting such a screaming good deal from them on my business account, I'd be gone already.

Sadly as others have said.. This is another downfall for Sprint. Verizon had the issue but solved it with VoLTE.. With Sprint working on just LTE I don't see VoLTE for awhile. Maybe later this year if not next?

Am I correct in assuming that if Sprint does adopt VoLTE sometime (whenever!) that the S7 would automatically be able to use it?

Thank you! You've all been very helpful. It isn't the end of the world by any stretch of the imagination, but it is just nice to know going in.

Not necessarily. Sprint might need to do a software update.
