Do you guys think the 32gb Nexus 7 w/ 3G will work with an already active T-Mo $30 pre-paid plan? I have the SIM in my Galaxy Nexus now. It did not work when I tried it in a T-Mo hotspot. I'm wondering if it will work in a Nexus 7 though. I'd love to be able to swap the sim into the Nexus 7 at times when I need 3G data on the tablet. I have a second work smartphone for calls. Thanks.

It won't, but you can get a T-Mobile prepaid MBB SIM.

Week Pass - 300MB / $15
Month Pass - 1.5GB / $25
Month Pass - 3.5GB / $35
Month Pass - 5GB / $50

I don't see why it wouldn't. Its an unlocked tablet, not a hotspot/MiFi. But until its released and someone tests it, we can't be sure so sit tight until 11/13.

My question on this is what if you buy the 5GB for $50 but only use, say 2-3GB? Do you carry the rest over, or do you lose it and have to buy another batch of GB's?

hello, I have been using tmobile for years as a prepay customer. they will not carry over. I use this plan when I need data on my tab in the states.

Shame. You can only use what you buy, or buy what you THINK you'll use and hope not to go over. T-Mob gotcha! Just like all the carriers. How come I can buy so many minutes of pre-paid talk time and don't have to buy more until they're used up, huh T-Mob, huh???

To set up T-Mobile: Put the sim card in and turn on the device...

1. Go to setting and turn off wifi.
2. Select Data Usage\More and select Mobile Networks
3. Select T-Mobile
4. The Pull Down notification center will show a ? mark on the cellular bars
5. Pull down the notification center and there is a selection for t-mobile activation
6. A web page opens with the activation form...

Also if you mess-up and don't get the notification panel... Just open Chrome and it will go to the same page with wifi turned off...

Unfortunately nothing will carry over. I use AT&T which has similar priced plans. I have been purchasing the 3GB plan for $30 (or something like that). Same as T-Mobile if I use less than that on the 30 day period oh well too bad. On the other hand if I use up that data. I can go buy extra 30 days that start from the next time purchased. I know it's not what you wanted to hear but no carrier does prepay or contract that has unused data carrying over.
