WHY is everyone trying to flash the I9000 stuff on their Fascinate?

Another question and issue, why does my phone turn off at night when its on the charger? Like, I use the alarm on my phone to wake me up for college in the mornings. and I turn it on right before I go to sleep. Its on the charger, and then I wake up, 3 hours late for my class because the alarm didn't go off, for my phone is turned off. So I turn it back on and think about throwing it across the room in a fit of rage. I am currently running KBCR v1.3 voodoo. No themes or anything. Does anyone else have this problem?

It's a lack of prior research that's leading to this. People are eager to start messing with the phone and jump right into rooting without looking into what they should be doing and what to stay away from.

Mostly I would say it is people that Google "samsung galaxy s" and that is what they go off of. Not knowing what they are doing, and not researching ahead of time

Sorry about the phone shutting off issue, don't have the same problem. But yeah, people hit Google and get all sorts of stuff not for the Fascinate. I tell everyone I know that's looking to do anything to their phone to head here first. Regardless of the device, this place will have the answers they need.

Lol, yeah, I made sure I did all of my research. I JUST converted to Voodoo when I got the Comm Rom. I made sure I read up about voodoo, and how to unvoodoo if needed. Android central is the place to go to learn all of the good facts. I wouldn't DARE just look for it on Google. I don't check anything out unless it's linked through here. I understand there are other trusted sources, but I trust AC more than any of them. BEST FORUM EVER.

I guess I'll just buy an alarm clock. Lulz.

Another question. What exactly happens if you press the PHONE button on ODIN instead of PDA? I know it sends it to hell, but what exactly makes it go to hell?

just a guess, but it either does some really bad things to the file system, or puts everything in really bad places.

I opt for bad things to the file system since it is a tough thing to recover from

Courtesy of the GunnerMike53 "Hold my diet dr. pepper and watch this." school of flashing we know that if you use the phone button it over writes your modem with all of the wrong files in all of the wrong places. Kinda like lookin for love in a mexican bar called the dirty sanchez.

people flash stupid crap because..... well...... they are, atleast for that moment(read above thread) STUPID!!

the power issue you are having is a voltage control issue with the kernel. you can try flashing a new kernel, that may fix it. i however had to wipe and reload.
