So i got my galaxy nexus recently and i love it. It was between this and the rezound because i have beats but i decided ics was just so much cooler.. so went with it and i never want to look back. My only complaint is, with i guess minimal app usage/paying with i get about maybe tops 12-13 hours. But when it comes to fruit ninja, galcon, some texting and internet usage...for maybe about like 20-30 min it drains like 10-20-30 percent even just in that 30 minutes. I don't know why, as the android os uses most or sometimes the screen though its barley on mid brightness and wifi and bluetooth are off during that time. Otherwise battery life is fair but would like some tips on anything...i know android inside and out so i just thought this phone would have better battery life than others which it semi-does.. but not as what i have seen in reviews..

Also.. on headphones.. i was going to buy the beats from the rezound...would the buttons work for call, end skip? or should i just go buy ibeats for the iphone one... and will those controls work?

Thanks for your answers/input. :)

I can't really answer on the battery life part as I have the unlocked GSM version. I love the battery life of my Nexus especially when compared to the EVO 3D I had. I suspect it's the Lte radio on yours, and I keep my screen brightness at auto.

On headphones, I think the beats by dr dre line is way over hyped (overpriced?) aimed at the younger crowd. I have a pair of Ultimate Ears SuperFi 5Vi. This is really a great pair of earbuds. Theres ample bass but not too heavy like some that you'll have to sacrifice mid and highs. There's a one button in-line control that pauses, plays, skips (press twice), picks up/ends calls, and also has a mic. Only thing lacking is in-line volume control. It is pretty durable as well. I have been using mine for close to two years. I have so much faith in Ultimate Ears now that i was just thinking of getting/upgrading to the higher end TripleFi. I only hesitated becuse i want to save some money to get a new tv set, and I wanted to try the Klipsch Image S4a (claims to be the first sets of earbuds made for Android devices). My previous experience with Klipsch S4i didn't impress me much but I'd like to give the S4a a second chance just to see what the fuss is all about.

Just wanted to offer my humble opinions. Hope I have somehow helped.

Download Juice Defender. It will manage your radios & should dramatically improve your battery life. I use the paid Ultimate version, but the free version works great, too. It literally almost doubled my battery life.

But see thats the thing olorin... i should have to download juice defender as i don't want another app running in the background personally. I just thought i would have gotten close to the 9-10 hour mark with heavy usage...not like 6-7-8..though its drastically better than any of my previous phones.. @drewC..thanks for the headphones info.. i'll look at the klips4a.. but i think i might try the beats. I have the over ear and ever since in my opinion and yea im a teenager.. there amazing...way better than iphone ear phones or htc or really anything iv'e ever heard but thats me.. so i wanted something amazing in ear, more portable. Thanks for the suggestion though.:)
