Since I live in Canada, I'll likely need to buy a Z5C from a foreign reseller, such as Clove.co.uk or Expansys.ca.
Does anyone have any experience with this? And in particular what type or warranty (if any) is provided, and how hard is it to return a bad device?
The reason I'm concerned is because I see many users complaining about super hot Z5C's, whereas others (including some pretty thorough reviews) report it being fine. I'm still watching, but I suspect Sony either has a bad batch of components, or a flaw in their assembly process (ie some workers who are not applying thermal paste correctly or something). I'd hate to spend $700 and end up stuck with a phone with a serious over-heating issue.
Also, does anyone know what market the E5803 is intended for? As far as I can tell, the only difference between that and the E5823 is LTE Cat 4 vs LTE Cat 6. I suspect I want the E5823 but I'm having trouble figuring out where the E5803 would be better, or where it is commonly sold (so I can make sure I don't end up with one).
Thanks!
