Questions about Moving from Handcent to GO SMS Pro or ? when switching to Galaxy S7 Edge

I'm getting my S7 Edge today, upgrading from a S6 Edge. I've used Handcent for a few years and I pay for their backup service. I've liked it mostly but there are a few things that bug me about it...I don't like their group texting especially, and it's been crashing quite a lot lately. So with this new phone I've decided to change to a new SMS app. I've done a bunch of reading and I'm thinking Go SMS Pro looks like the one I'll choose. I'm fine with paying for it. My question is.. how should I migrate my SMS messages from my old phone over to the new one? I'd rather just not install Handcent on the new phone, and start out with Go SMS Pro. But then I'll need to import my messages directly into that somehow.

My S6 is not rooted (nor will it be). Thanks!
