So I put about 8 of my albums on my new GN from iTunes after dl that little app to my Mac. First thing I notice is that because several of the album titles are "Greatest Hits" (Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, The Who) all these tracks are now in one big album with the same cover (Foo Fighters, I added that first). The artists are different, but the album lumps them all together. How do I fix that? My other question is how to I make a RT on the phone from a track? It was easy on my Incredible:choose song, menu, make RT, trim both ends, store it. I don't see that option on the GN now.

1st question: I honestly don't know(hasn't happened to me)

2nd question: Use Ringdroid

For the first question, go to the music.google.com, using a desktop or a laptop, anyway, go to said album, select it, make sure that the highlight the tracks for a particular artist and make sure that album artist is listed there for each song along with art etc. Its a pain but it happened to me.

Yes, Album Artist is the key.

This app is one of the best to fix tags. Make sure music is in folder in folder on root of card, no additional folder.

For example, on sd card, there is folder for music. Open it and you may see one of 2 things....(1) All your songs thrown in there, or (2) Folders with artist names.

My.first inclination when I saw this was to open each folder, and make sub-folders for albums. Don't.

Put music from each artist into main artist folder. Then use this audio tagger app to edit tags and art work. (My daughter almost killed me for the way her itunes stuff downloaded to phone....This app fixed it...)

If you need help, shout!

As far as your second question: I believe that option was part of the HTC Sense skin on the Incredible. I agree with the above poster to use ringdroid,

I'm pretty sure when I added these albums yesterday I opened the music folder in the "card". I dragged each album into Music, and I think what I ended up with was a long list of songs, not a list of artists. Now on the phone the artists are listed, and the albums under them have the correct names. It's just that 3-4 of the album names are Greatest Hits. Someone suggested I go to Google Music, but I am not participating in that. I take it I can't fix this on the phone itself. I got the Ringdroid app, and that's perfect thanks, just like the one build into the Incredible's Sense OS (which was pretty good).
