Questions about my new S4!

So I've been playing with this phone, and LOVING it so far. The screen is great, it feels good in the hand, and it's generally pretty zippy. A couple of questions:

-Is there anyway to turn off the "Recommended Shortcuts" thing that comes up when I have headphones plugged in?
-Is there anyway to get a text message preview in the notification bar WITHOUT it also appearing on the lock screen?
-What liteflow settings are working for you? (in the app's settings menu) I'm having some inconsistencies with it, and it's my first time using it.

The user guide online says nothing about the lock screen preview. It only says that the option shows a preview in the status bar, which is not the case. Weird.
