Questions about One X

I have an upgrade and it's between the Galaxy S3 and the One X.

No sd card slot. I had an iPhone 4 so this shouldn't be a problem but you also get Dropbox free with the One X. Will the stuff I store there just be available on my phone or do you use data to stream it there?

and is Google Music the same way? It says 25,000 songs etc but will videos use data when playing?

Sorry if this is a stupid question...I really like the One X but I don't want to be limited by storage.
Thanks for any answers :)

Dropbox is a cloud storage service, so yes whatever you upload there you'll need a data connection or wifi to get access to it. Google music works the same way but with music, put all of your songs in the cloud and then stream them to your phone. However, you could make songs in your Google Music library available offline (it'll download them to your phone) but that will use your hard drive space.

I came from a 16GB iPhone 4, so storage hasn't been an issue for me and I preferred the screen as well as the overall fit/finish of the One X over the GS3 (we'll see how it holds up over time, it's still not as solid as the iPhone 4 was IMO but it's not bad by any means). There's been a few iPhone to HTC One X threads posted here recently, you should read through them as they contain lots of useful info.

Wait a little bit and AT&T will come out with the HTC One X+ which will have more storage.

It hit the FCC yesterday and should be in the carrier's hands in a month or so.

Wouldn't buy the current version when the replacement is so close.

If external storage is important, the SGS is probably a better choice. They are essentially equivalent devices, but 16GB and no SD card is a mark against the HOX for those users that need the storage. You cannot stream from Dropbox. And using Google Play WILL use your data (if not on wifi). Most people that seem to start using Google Play Music, don't go back to what they were using before... but if you need to walk around with 30GB of music in your pocket, get the SGS3.
