So me and my wife are thinking about getting our son a Kindle Fire for Christmas and I had a few questions I figured could be easily answered by my fellow android lovers who already own a kf. We already tried out a cheap Chinese knockoff tablet for him and it was a piece of junk.
First off how simple is the fire to operate compared to other android devices? My son is only 3, but knows how to work my thunderbolt, archos 101 tablet, my wifes dx, and her ipad she has through her school. He can grab my phone and have it unlocked and running zoodles in the blink of an eye.
2. Does the amazon market have enough kid related games to keep from needing to root and/or sideload the actual android market? I know it has zoodles, which my son loves, but are there very many other games he would like? Rooting or sideloading the market isn't a deal breaker as I've done both before, but would prefer not.
3. Would the fire be better than say the velocity micro Cruz, filemate identity that walmart sells, or the coby kyros you can find at differnt stores or websites? Like I stated earlier, we tried a cheap knock off tablet we found for $100 that was junk so I would like to get something that will last longer than a month even if it means spending $200 instead of $125.
Thanks in advance for any help or opinions you can give!
