questions about the rezound might get rid of my razr

so I had a HTC inspire up till last saturday, when i switched from at&T to Verizon cause service sucks and wanted speed (as I tether and dont have wifi at home)
I was pretty happy with it other then the camera, always took blurry shots as shutter speed was slow and camera didnt have image stabilization.

so I got the motorola driod razr
I defiantly prefer sense.Dont like the interface very well on the motorola.
camrea is ok with image stabilization, but shutter speed is still slow.
(before the inspire i had the iphone so camera was nice, everything else sucked)

well a day after i got the razr, it broke, wont turn on or anything, cant connect it to the computer either.
so i have to take it back and get a replacement.
so im thinking about the rezound

so my questions are I am looking at rooting so I can get tethering, will that work for the temp root that is out? All I need is hotspot, or is there a perma root for it now?

how is the shutter speed on the rezound? and pictures in low light? the inspire wasnt good in low light either.

My wife has the RAZR. I would get another RAZR instead of the Rezound since the Nexus isn't "officially" out yet.

Uhh.. When did he say anything about the nexus? Why is a nexus troll in the rezound forums?

Anyway, the rezound is amazing. The shutter speed is pretty instant, it takes fantastic pictures even in low light. I haven't tried the tether after the temp root, but there's no perma root yet. The devs working on this are close to s-off, so it won't be much longer. We've also got some amazing devs on this device. It's a great phone now and it's only getting better. I've never used the razr, but I fully recommend this phone.

Hold the power and volume button down on your razr for a few seconds. That will forcea hard boot as far as either phone goes, I doubt think either is unlocked far enough to steal tethering are they? shutter spread its pretty much instant, and has good a lens add you will find on a phone so low light is fine enough. personally I prefer my rezound over my wives razr, quite a bit.

lol I said nothing works on the razr now, power vol button dont work, it is blank

I would try a battery pull. Oh wait razr = no battery pulls. In all seriousness I just switched to the rezound a fantastic phone that keeps getting better. The razr and not being able to pull battery is what turned me off from it. just remember vzw will only replace the phone you have with a brand new factory re-certified phone of the same type unless you are within the warranty period.

I had the Razr, and the camera on the Rezound is better. Super fast shutter speeds and very nice image quality.

How did you get free tethering on the Razor? If the phone is rooted you will be charged for the replacement as rooting voids the contract. Now that the obvious has been stated if they gave you tethering on the razor have them give you tethering on the Rezound. I believe as with most HTC devices you can always wire tether for free. Besides it's only a matter of time before they get tired of people stealing wifi tethering and find a way to put an end to it. BOT, my wife had a razor as her loaner phone (BestBuy insurance) and there is no comparison when it comes to sense vs. vanilla. Sense all the way!

got it by rooting it, i have returned a few phone that failed (unrelated to jailbreaking or rooting) never had had a problem

its not stealing as I am paying for the data usage, its mine i can do with it as i like, $50 a month i should be getting tethering.

it is looking like the battery is the culprit according to verizon.
