So I've got a Fire TV stick on the way, but it's not coming for a month (It moved from shipping January 9 to January 8!!! Woohoo!), and I was wondering if you could answer some questions that I have about this thing.
1) Amazon recommends plugging it into an outlet, but do you really need to? Like, is there a noticeable difference or is this just for helping the average consumer set it up easier or something?
2) It apparently supports Miracast, but can someone check if it support Windows 8's PlayTo (as in, go to devices > play > fire TV)? For the things that I have saved locally, it would be nice to be able to play them on my TV.
3) For those who don't mind sideloading apps, is someone able to check how Xbox Music performs on this thing? I know some people tried things with sideloading browsers and it apparently didn't turn out too well. I was wondering if some one could tell me if the app works with the remote.
I'm really excited at this thing, and at $20 I couldn't pass it up.
Thanks in advance
