Hello everyone,
I was hoping to get a few questions answered from those who use t mobile specially the pre paid people.

I want to purchase the new unlocked nexus 4 when it comes out and was hoping to use it on t mobiles network.

Can I buy the phone directly from google and get the $30/mo plan?

Is there a difference between buying it from t mobile? And buying it from google in aspect to locked vs unlocked?

And for those in the Westchester/NYC area, would you recommend t mobile? I'm currently on sprint and I am getting horrible network speeds. I can't really wait for LTE to roll out.

Thanks in advanced!

The word on the street now is that buying from T-Mobile costs more unless you sign a contract. I haven't heard any official information on whether it's SIM locked yet.

It's been several months since I signed up, but last time I checked you could get the $30 100/U/5 plan with just a SIM card purchase (remember the Nexus 4 uses a micro SIM when buying!) only through T-Mobile's website. Their retail stores don't offer it and Walmart will make you buy a phone.

I can't comment personally on T-Mobile coverage in your area, but I've heard the coverage maps on their website are fairly accurate for the east coast. If you don't get any responses about that here and don't have any local friends who use T-Mobile that you can ask, that would be better than nothing, at least.

That's for the response.

I have been reading up about how t mobile is charging a ridiculous amount for the unlocked contract free n4.

I just wanted to verify that it is possible to but it from the play store and join that plan you described (100 mins/unlimited text & data (first 5GB of 4g speeds).

It looks like I can do that but your saying I have to do it thru online?

I would ask friends but unfortunately most of them are on Verizon which is not an option for me because they are over priced and don't sell the n4.

That's how it was six months ago, and I haven't heard about it changing. If you want to be sure, though, you'll have to go on the T-Mobile website and read some fine print.

Will do! Thanks got the assistance. I'm pumped to switch over.

Written from my sprint evo 4g LTE that doesn't have LTE yet so he had to tether off of coworkers Verizon galaxy nexus.
