Quick Charge 3.0?

I still dont know what kind of quick charger it is ive had the phone for 2 weeks the screen says Fast charging always and today i went from exactly 23% to 100% in an hour so who knows which one it is 2.0 or 3.0.

I just got a new G5 from Sprint. I thought I read somewhere that the charger that comes with it is NOT an actual "Quick Charge" 3.0 charger, but just some other sort of "fast" charger. It does only say "Fast Charge" on the charger case. Nowhere does it say "Quick Charge" either 2.0 or 3.0.

So I bought an Anker QC 3.0 charger.

Is there an obvious way to tell whether the phone is charging with just regular "fast" charging, QC 2.0, or QC 3.0? Is the phone supposed to display something different on the lock screen? Or will it only display "Fast charging" for all 3 of these?

The phone does say "Fast Charging" with both the factory "fast" charger, and the Anker QC 3.0 charger, but how do I know it's truly using QC 3.0 with the Anker?

Thanks!

There's no noticeable speed difference at all between QC 2 and QC 3. I have both and the amperage is nearly identical. Maybe over an hour QC3 may save a few minutes but i honestly can't tell a few difference. (I have a DROK USB monitoring device)

It's supposed to charge cooler, I think that's one of the main "benefits" to QC3.0

The phone does not display whether it's using QC 2 or QC 3.

A few weeks ago I had a support chat with LG where I asked if the G5 charger is a QC 2.0 or 3.0...the answer was 3.0 (bought the phone a month ago, unlocked, Europe).

From what I read in a tech document on QC3.0 the main differnce between qc2.0 and 3.0 is charging efficiently. The 3.0 is not much faster but stepps the power down near the end when the battery is near full to lower battery temps and strain on the cells.
