Quick charge off setting?

Rapid charging is cool, I remember the big fuss about it when 10 was launched but as much as I've enjoyed seeing my phone go from 0-100% in a short space of time I still prefer to prolong the long term efficiency of my battery and charge with quick charge only when I need it. I know others have meeting using old HTC adapters but sold my old M8 so I don't have any other adapters around.

Is there a way to switch quick charge off, I can't seem to see the settings. Appreciate any help on this.

"Quick charge" is still WAY below a 1C charge, so using it won't shorten the battery's life. (Which is probably why some phones don't have a setting to turn it off.)

You can simply use a charger that doesn't support it. I think that's your only option.

Thanks for advice, I'm still ignorant about all this charging stuff...I just trying to delay a premature repeat of what happened to my M8 battery.

I'm guessing your M8 is about 2 years old, right? I don't think it's unusual for a battery to lose its full capacity after 2 years. Just use the phone and don't worry about it! :-)

Since the release of quick charge, not only has the technology became better but batteries are a lot better as well which is why some have went with smaller sizes because they can still ensure a full day charge or of battery life which ever way you look at it. Regardless you shouldn't have to worry about any issues with the battery due to quick charge.
