Quick Charging Question

For those of you that have quick charged this phone does it just say "Charging" on the lockscreen or does it say something else?

How do you know when you're quick charging? Is there a setting? The phone charges pretty fast when I plug it in. It does say charging on the lock screen.

I know for some phones (like my Zenfone 2) it will show "Quick Charging" on the lock screen (if you wake it up but don't unlock) -- But usually only when the battery is at a low %.

You are quick charging if you are using a quick charger. If you use the stock charger you are not quick charging. Like Almeiut said some phone says Quick Charging or something along that line and I'm not seeing that on my G4.

From what I've read apparently not. I just went to Amazon and bought 2 Getwow chargers. One for home and one for the car since I use a car dock. They'll be arriving on Friday, the same day as my phone is scheduled to arrive. For $22.98 (for both chargers) it's worth it to me (especially the car charger). What's strange is that they have the 2 chargers available in a packaged set for $24.99. I guess that's for the extra USB cable.

It's not a quick charger unfortunately.

The charger included with the phone has an output of 5v. The charger that came with my Nexus 6 has a standard charge of 5v and two turbo outputs of 9v and 12v.

Correct. It's the same 1.8amp charger that came with the G3

For some reason I was thinking that Quick Charge wasn't enabled out of the box? I'm not sure it's been addressed yet, since they suddenly announced that it would indeed have Quick Charge after all.

It's definitely enabled, as charging with my Samsung quick charger results in a much faster charging time than the included LG cable and charger. There is no notification to indicate quick charge that I am aware of though.

This is a little off topic, well not really, but just some info, I have an AT&T LG Optimus G Pro and the other day I couldn't find my LG charger so I used my Motorola Turbo Charger and in less than 30 minutes my LG Pro, that doesn't have Quick Charge, went from 15% to 85%. So I guess the higher output chargers will charge even a phone without Quick Charge a bit faster than non quick chargers.

Is it verified that a QC charger works with those with the H815 model? Many reviews say the G4 needs a SW update but those with the US carrier variants will have it active.

So on G4 ...it doesn't indicate whether it's quick charging or not? I have a 2.0 Quick charge car charger and when plugged I didn't see anything indicating that it was quick charging.
