"Quick launch key" - re-map to power/wake [how to]

I found this information in another forum for the Optimus Black, but had to change the name of the file to edit for the Marquee.. here you go:

1) Phone must be rooted
2) Use your favorite file explorer
3) Navigate to /system/usr/keylayout/
4) save a copy of the file "dop_keypad.kl"
5) edit the original file in step 4, find the line "key 95 CAMERA" and change to "key 95 POWER WAKE"
6) save file, and the reboot device

Enjoy.
note: it will not power the phone ON from an OFF state (only the actual power button will do that), but it does wake the phone and will also power off.

Next up: get the application that flashes the LED keys for message notification (current Optimus Black version(s) from the market didn't work).

Good work two-rocks.
You are correct that the Opti Black key notification will not work. It is not due to the hardware as the phones are identical, but rather differences in the ROMs. We may have wait a little longer for us to reverse engineer this for the Marquee.
In the meantime, no-LED from the market works well and it's free.
