AC Question

I was writing in quickmemo+ on my LG G4 and I had written several paragraphs. I hit the check mark to save and when I went back into quick memo + there were no saved files. Now I have tried every possible way since then to replicate the error and type something without it saving and I cannot. If I hit the home button or the back button on the bottom of my phone, the text automatically saves. I have tried closing the app and the file saves before it closes. I have tried taking a photo, drawing over the text, snipping, etc... (all of which I did not do originally) and not one thing I attempt results in a file that does not save.

What could have possibly happened to the file I was working on, why did it not save and is there a chance that there is a relic file somewhere that I can access?

Very confused and a bit upset about it. The file was for my novel and you cannot get those moments back.

I am not necessarily tech fluent, but I am not tech illiterate either. Just cannot replicate typing something and having it not save.

The ONLY thing I can think of was that this was the FIRST time I every used quickmemo+ on my G4. Could that have something to do with it?

After trying Quick Memo for a short time, I uninstall it immediately and replace with Gnotes which allows to export our notes to SD card for a backup, in case we don't like to sync to Gnotes server. Beside that, we can protect our notes with password, this feature we have to pay when using the popular Evernote.
Please give it a try, as I also have tried several notes apps before decided to stick with Gnotes.

This happened to me this morning as well. I have been storing little memos with this app since April with no trouble. This morning I pieced together a writing for my book and when finished, I tapped the check mark to save it. The app backed out of the memo I was working on with no warning about it being too long to be saved or any hint that there was a problem and it was just GONE. SO SO FRUSTRATING!

Yep. Happens to me all the time and i'm using it to write songs. Best to write one word or title, save and see if it saves. If it does, then reopen it and continue writing. I have had no trouble with this method.

Had the same thing happen on my new lg g7 thinq. After lots of looking if you go into you file manager you can search memo and find all you memos even thoses that didnt save or atleast looked like they didnt. The only problem is they are saved as picture files and if you wrote alot it might have cut off alot I could not figure out how to get them to show up in the app but atleast you can read you first few paragraphs and not lose all your work.

The file is first in android then data then com.lge.qmemoplus then files

Android --> data --> com.lge.qmemoplus --> files

once you in files pick/find the missing memos folder go into it and look in the images folder and there will be a picture of it.

I would suggest as others using a new memo or note app.
Hope this is helpful
