I'm brand new to Android. I came to the V10 from BlackBerry. I just tried the Quick Remote that I saw on my phone. Honestly, I wasn't expecting it to work because my TV is an RCA....not one of the very common brands. It took a little while to set it up but it works! I amazed my kids by controlling the TV from my phone. LOL. Very neat. :)

Welcome to Club Android!. I'm a big fan of the remote function. I had it on a previous phone, then missed it dearly when it was gone. I'm very happy to have it back again.

Also....you can program it to work on just about anything that receives IR. I've programmed my phone to even work my air conditioner.

I just set it for both my Samsung TV and Time Warner box.

I used Samsung's version on the Note 4, but I like LG's better

You can literally train anything with an IR signal to this remote. You can make custom remotes with custom buttons with custom text. It's odd, but I couldn't figure out how to add my blu ray player, so I just made my own remote for it.

That all being said, I would really like to have more options to choose from than TV, Set Top Box, Audio, and Projector...

i didn't think about the custom stuff, thats just great, I'm going to have to dig into that

I had no idea about the custom stuff! I am definitely going to check that out!!!!

How did you add custom buttons?

Nevermind, I found it, you have to create your own remote:
