Hi,
This may sound like a stupid question, but I'm new to Android.

I have accidentally exited the stock messaging app several times in the middle of a message, and it says that it has saved it as a draft. Now whenever I open the chat up, I have that draft sitting in the text box, even after I've already sent it. I have tried deleting the chat, restarting the phone, pretty much everything I can think of, but have not figured out how to delete the draft.

Can someone please help me...thank you

The only thing I can think of is to go into settings > applications > manage applications. Look for the Messages app under "all", then go ahead and clear the cache and/or data. I don't think this will wipe your texts but you may wanna get an app that will back them up to the SD card just in case! :)

If you open the draft and delete all the characters it should go away. If that doesn't work just press and hold on the message and you should get an option to delete it.

Not sure why I can't get that post fixed.. lemme try again.

Okay, sorry about the extra post. That was weird.

deleting drafts

Had the same problem. on my TB, I go to Messages -> Menu -> Drafts. It sounds like you dont see the Drafts button as a selection choice. Mine does and I can go into drafts, then hit Menu again and it gives me that option to delet drafts. once selected, you touch (select) each draft that you want deleted, then select Delete. At least that's what I found.
