"XXXApp was restricted from using your mobile network" Message appears constantly

Huawei Mate 10 up to date with all software and firmware (as far as I know).

For no apparent reason, the message below has started to appear when almost any app is opened even if wi-fi is connected as well as my mobile data provider. Wi-Fi only works as normal.

I can't see why this should have happened or how to deal with it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Welcome to Android Central! Do you have any 3rd party security apps installed? Have you already checked the Security menu in your system settings?
