Thank you.. Coming from the HTC One X I say bring on my 2GB, S4 Krait processor having beast. As soon as HTC fixes their little error I will probably head back their way..... Maybe.

And a LOT of folks are going to be locked into their new 2 yr agreements on this phone by the time the New Iphone hits.. Unless Apple gets REAL SMART REAL FAST and announces a pre-order event for the Iphone 5 in the next few days to make people put the brakes on.. Once the media blitz ( T.V. Net, Radio, Bill Boards etc..) start pushing this phone and its incredible technologies for only $199.00 even Iphone loyalist are going to give it some thought IMHO.. This is a GREAT DAY for Android getting the Samsung 2012 Flagship at this price point on all the major Carriers.. Even U.S. Cellular.. And with a Record Setting 9 Million Pre-Orders recorded for the International Version it kinda shows the popularity this phone has garnered..

I'm curious to know what the pre-order numbers are going to be like here in the states. The only reason I'm pre-ordering this phone is because I have a feeling it may sell out for the initial first wave. Samsung is going to be pumping these out for all the carriers! Wondering how great the demand will be as opposed to the supply.

Alot of people like me are "In Contract" and that may keep everyone and their mother from jumping to this phone.. I am on Verizon in the middle of my commitment. I have 3 choices: 1) Pay full retail price ( $649.00 based on the GNex price right now at Verizon ) and that assures me of keeping my Grandfathered Unlimited Data with Big Red.. or 2) Pay the E.T.F. for me about $200 at this stage and jump to another carrier and get their version for $200..Grand total of $400 for me but I would loose my Unlimited Data Forever.. or 3) Go International ( Hoping the price comes down a little from that $799 its at now..) and have the option of T-Mo, AT&T or just by a Sim and Use it Month to Month @ 3G speeds when away from Home Wi-Fi & Hot Spots for $45 a month Unlimited Everything and NO 2 yr contract.. and of course option 4.. ride your commitment out and get the phone then... I think you will be able to get one pretty easily because it is on all carriers and not everyone can jump "Right Now".. I have an old motorcycle I am going to sell if I go with the International Version and that will cover 90% of the cost of my E.T.F. the phone and all the extras Chargers, Spare Batteries, Case, Dock.. etc.. Times are still tough.. and me, I would rather do cash and carry and be done with it than finance on credit and pay 3 to 19% in intrest just to get a phone.. Not to mention there are those that swear by Iphone, HTC, Windows Phone.. etc.. so I think you are good to go.. I hope you are free and clear on cell bills / commitments.. you can shop all 5 carriers for availability and the best plan !

Well I think the comment about unseating the iP4S is relevant since it's dominated many markets. However, the GS3 has already unseated the IP4S in the UK and will no doubt do the same elsewhere until Apple releases the 'next iPhone' whatever it may be. With the rumor mill showing some leaked shots of the case, it looks like it will only have a piddly 3.9" screen, though time will tell. And if they do in fact release the iP5 with this rumored screen size it will pale in comparison to ANY Android phone.

As for myself, I can't wait to dump my old iP3G and get a screen that I can actually type on or see web pages, not to mention one that opens apps when you tap them instead of waiting for a few seconds, LOL. I think the GS2 rocks as well!

With the report that 9 mil were pre ordered overseas plus regular demand add in North America pre orders plus regular demand. It's obvious demand is very high for this phone and people are going to get nasty and mouthy because they couldn't have it the day they wanted it.

If Samsung tries to pump these out to fast by hiring a bunch of new inexperienced workers and running balls to the wall it could very well be disappointing and flawed when we get it.

Yeah, thats my concern as well! I hope for the sake of everyone that they are made with QC in mind and guidelines to a well made final product. There is too much money at stake for Samsung to ignore this so I don't think they'll drop the ball here.

I swap phones all the time. From March until now I went through like 8 or 9 different iPhone 4S's. All had cosmetic flaws like, light bleeding, crooked home buttons, loose home buttons, loose pieces inside the phone ect...

Apple has LOST quality control also. I just picked up a GSII (i777) on AT&T and its perfect. I will gladly take Samsung any day over Apple now.
