A new version (version 2.0) of R Mahjong - Riichi Mahjong for 4 players has been released.
In this version of R Mahjong there are significant changes.
Most importantly, this version adds a powerful neural network based artificial intelligence (AI) called SUO to R Mahjong.
By my estimation, the AI has a strength equivalent to 6.8-7.0 stable dan (as defined on tenhou.net).
We can put it another way: SUO is stronger than 99.7% of players on tenhou.net.



This opens up completely new possibilities for players. On online servers, you can get opponents that are roughly
the same strength as you. You can only play with strong opponents when you become strong enough yourself. With R Mahjong you can
start playing mahjong with strong opponents right away, which will have a positive effect on your game, speeding up your progress.

In addition, R Mahjong has a training mode in which you see the hands of your opponents and also tips from the AI - which tile reset and make an announcement or not (Chi, Pon, Kan, Riichi). Moreover, in training mode you can hide and display the hands of your opponents and AI prompts at the touch of a button.

You can also see how the artificial intelligence ranks the tiles in your hand based on the likelihood of which tile to discard.



In local game mode, only strong AI mahjong - SUO is available, while in network game mode, both strong mahjong AI - SUO and weak mahjong AI - SI are available.

The games you play can be recorded and replayed step-by-step (replays). And viewing is available from any player's point of view.

The second important innovation is the addition of detailed statistics of games played. Moreover, you can see not only your statistics, but also the statistics of your opponents, including AI. You can see and analyze literally any aspect of the game, including the number of games played, number of hands, winnings by Ron and Tsumo, percentage of open hands, percentage of Riichi, percentage of announcements (Chi, Pon, Kan), tiles on which you won or lost, Yaku collected by you and much more. Analyzing statistics will allow you to identify and eliminate systematic errors in your mahjong game. Changing your ranking, updated after each game, is also available.
It should be noted that statistics are not kept in training mode.
