I just wanted to get a separate opinion from the forums here. I have the new sense 3.5 ROM from RCmix 3D and they have a suggested radio. I am not all that comfortable using adb command so I dont really want to flash a new radio (However I will if I have to). I get great signal strength, both mobile and WiFi, every aspect of the software works flawlessly, however, the battery life is less than I would expect from a custom ROM. I am using 26.10.04.03_M radio and this is not the radio that the developer of the ROM suggested. Should I risk flashing a new radio or just accept that the heavy sense based rom is not great for battery life?

Responses and thoughts are appreciated.

Just my opinion but if your happy with the signal and can live with the battery life i would stay with the radio you've got. Most rom's do have a recommended radio, but I've flashed several different one's and always stayed with the .04.11_M2 radio as it give me the best performance. There's no one radio that works best for everyone. Just make sure to flash the proper RIL for that radio which you can find in the inspire radio thread over at XDA.

On the flip side of the coin you can usually find the radio your looking for in a PD98IMG format that you can simply drop to your sd card and flash from hboot. I've flashed a few radios that way and never had any problems.

Good luck!
