Radio Question from Thunderbolt rookie.

I am a new Thunderbolt owner who just received the latest update after setting up my phone. Everything is working great. I am in a solid 4G area and getting a solid signal. My question is aboout the stock radio. Before I accepted the update I wrote down all software imfo and again after the update. Where on the software imfo does it say what radio you are using?? Is it in the Kernel Version. Looking to gather as much imfo before I root. Thanks for any help.
