Reading all the stuff about being on the right radio just got me thinking about all the stuff that I've put on my phone. Just wanted to make sure I was on the right radio. Im just gonna wait for the ota. Everything that I was reading made it sound like you needed to be on .12 even when your on stock 2.2.1.but as far as I know I've always been on 07. Just want to make sure I can get the update while on the radio .07.

I was on .07 too. I installed the 2 part file from droid world and it works perfectly so far. This is a really great update so far and it has alot of great features I am enjoying so far.

yeah .07 is the froyo radio, thats what i had too, did two part install with d2bootstrap, no problems still root, now radio .12

The 2 part says you need to have a droid2 bootstrap. What does this mean..

I was on Froyo z4root. I didn't sbf or anything. I then had to install Droid d2 bootstrap( do a search for bootstrap or clockworkmod in market- may also have to install ROM manager from clockworkmod) Downloaded the 2 zip files and moved them to the root folder of my SD card. Renamed them so i could see the part 1 or 2 near the beginning of file name. Run d2bootstrap. click bootstrap recovery. after it says success click Reboot Recovery.
Scroll with volume to install zip from sd click camera to choose- scroll again install zip from sd.. scroll to part 1 click camera to install. after done click on part 2 to install prior to reboot. Once finished then reboot. all done.:)

Yeah, I ended up SBFing to froyo and using method 2. I have the new radio. Thanks for your help :-)

Where did you guys get the 2.3.340 sbf ? Every link if found seems to be broken. I'm having issues.. I can't install part one. It aborts after verifying the current system check the only thing I can think of that may be wrong was I deleted Madden football game. Stock froyo rooted with z4. Thanks

well i was on liberty 1.5 rom a week ago but i read that the update was coming out and was advised to revert back to stock shortly..so i guess i lucked out by having a phone all prepared for gingerbread before hand lol

Btw,no issues what so ever with rooted gingerbread, battery life is a major difference
