ram or processor

[AC Question]

I want to buy a low end budget phone. not really a heavy user, music is must, i was thinking of moto e and htc desire 310, the former has 1 gb ram and 1.2 ghz dual core and the later, 512 mb 1.3 ghz quad core, anyone wanna shed some light

I'd go for the one with more RAM. However, the Moto is more likely to get further software updates.

Moto E has the ram, the faster updates and is newer. You won't need the quad core. The HTC might be nicer to use and hold, I don't know, but the case of the Moto e seems low budget.

You could be able to stretch to a Moto G though. Then job done!

Totally agree.

I've never quite understood the price point of the E, although I guess its primarily aimed at the Asian market. If you can stretch to the G - and I really would if you can - then that's the one I'd go for.
