How have your RAM usage been after the Marshmallow update?

Haven't had any changes ito of apps and how I use my phone on a day to day basis, but mine has been extraordinary high for some reason...

Most of it taken by Android OS itself (854MB)

That's normal. Android runs better when RAM is full rather than empty. It's the opposite of Windows.
