I'm looking for an app which can generate an alarm at random intervals between given time frames with at least X but no more than Y minutes between alarms; e.g., on one day between 7:00am and 7:00pm, generate an alarm at 7:36am, 9:03am, 11:47am, and so on.

When I search, I'm finding apps that will generate random alarm tones, which isn't what I'm after at all.

Any suggestions?

That's probably an app idea that hasn't been thought of before. You are probably on to something. If I had the bread, I would invest in this app.

Sent from my Nexus S 4G using TapaTalk. Kay pof shinum wif a bardle doo.

Among other things, I'd like to randomly remind myself to update my food log and to get up from my desk and walk around a bit.

I have been looking for a similar app. Di you ever find one?

Use: with time usage studies, the random timer would go off and you would record what you are doing.

My wife, who is a psychologist would use it in a similar manner

This app could help develop mindfulness as to serve as a random reminder to check into whatever is going on in the present moment. Our thoughts, emotions, reactions, etc. A way to start to break the identification with our habitual mind streams and states of being.

I use StayOnTask. It doesn't turn on and off on a schedule, so I use another app (DGT GTD / Toodledo) to remind me to open and close it.
